Scott is a recording engineer and mixer based in the UK. He started in the music industry as assistant engineer for Peter Gabriel engineering on the album New Blood and assisting on the mix of the concert film New Blood: Live In London.
After graduating from the renowned Music & Sound Recording “Tonmeister” course at the University of Surrey, Scott began his freelance career, which led to assisting composer Harry Gregson-Williams and engineering at Real World Studios, working on sessions ranging from Jeff Beck to Beyoncé.
More recently Scott has been working with Grammy and Ivor Novello award-winning producer and songwriter Fraser T Smith. He engineered the upcoming Snow Patrol album, mixed 6 of the songs, and did the immersive Dolby Atmos mixes across the album. He has also engineered projects for Kasabian, Kae Tempest, Tom Walker, Aitch, Calum Scott, Sam Fischer and Mimi Webb, and has recently mixed the stereo and Atmos mixes for Future Utopia's second album Django's High.
Scott has worked on live shows as a programmer and playback engineer for artists such as London Grammar, Rita Ora, George Ezra, Paloma Faith and Stormzy – including his critically-acclaimed Glastonbury 2019 performance – and has mixed FOH for Rex Orange County, Oh Wonder, Birdy, NAO and John Grant.
Scott is an accomplished guitarist with a passion for creating unique sounds using a range of effects pedals and an interest in recording bands live to analog tape.
